Life at the Christian Bookstore.
I recently visted the Christian Bookstore and had an interesting conversation:
Elizabeth: Is that all?
Phil: Yeah, that's all.
Elizabeth: That'll be two twenty six.
Phil: (Hands her the money) I've always wondered about those things.
Elizabeth: What things?
Phil: those things over there (points at the metal detectors) The metal detector things.
Elizabeth: Oh those things.
Phil: Yeah, I mean, You'd think, since this is a "Christian" Bookstore, that you wouldn't need those.
Elizabeth: Yeah, you'd think, but we've had Bible's stolen, we've had CD's stolen...
Phil: Man!? What in the world are these people thinking?
Elizabeth: Yeah, you'd think they'd get a clue when the thing they're taking is a Bible... (Hands Philip the change)
Phil: Thanks!
Elizabeth: God bless!
Phil: Yeah, God bess.
I started thinking about how Christians struggle just like everyone
else. Then later that night, I heard a great message from Jeff Harris
(Inroads college bible study group) and it reminded me that Christians
can really screw up, but that's not the end of it. There is a road of
repentance that a Christian MUST take and own up to the mistakes
they've made...
Anyways, just a thought.
Matthew 18:15 (stuck in my head)
