  • Learned a valuable lesson...

    My car got beat up by some thugs last night...I guess it was being a little gaudy...

    I forgot to take off the face plate on the radio last night, and someone broke in to steal it.

    (Flashback)
    Austin: Phil, don't forget to take off the faceplate, People will try to break in and steal it.
    Phil: Okay. Don't worry.
    Austin: I don't know about that area.
    Phil: Yeah I'll take it off...

    While rummaging through my car, they also decided to take my acoustic / electric guitar, my bag of extension chords and Manfoto tripod wheels and a Cal bears hat, Cal bears T-shirt, and Cal Bears colored shorts... They left the Stanford shirt

    My first reaction was "What? They didn't steal our 8PAST cd??

    BUT!
    They didn't just steal from me, They kind of made an exchange.  They left me with their cell phone on the front passenger seat of the car.

    So I called the cops... hopefully it's enough to get my stuff back...

    The lesson? I'm not sure what it was, but I know it was a valuable one...

    HOW DARE THEY TAKE A MAN'S GUITAR!!!!! You never touch anybody elses guitar without asking first... and then you must only treat it with the utmost respect.

    How about this for a lesson- don't leave your guitar in your car. (When my car got broken into, the jerks did it 2 hours after i unloaded $3k worth of studio equip... thank God!!! Now I almost never leave equipment in my car unless i have no other options)

    And wasn't the stanford shirt ripped anyway?

  • One of the guys the dude breaking into my car dropped his cell phone at the house across the street from Cory's place, too. What a doofus! Hope you get your (and your sister's) stuff back!

  • that sucks!  unfortunately i know how it feels to get robbed :P   Hopefully the cops can find them.  Or maybe you can call them yourself and lure them into a dark alley... ;)
