  • Not bad!

    Aunt Kristy: What is with you Jangs and saying "that's not bad?"

    Phil: Huh?

    Aunt Kristy: Whenever I ask you what you think you say its "not bad".  What does that mean?

    Phil: Um... It means its not bad.

    Aunt Kristy: Yeah, but listen.  That doesn't mean its good either.

    Phil: I guess Not bad could mean not good either, but that's not what I meant.

    Aunt Kristy: So when I ask you how you like the salad, try "Pretty good" or Excellent! Not bad sounds like its borderline bad and good.  So what do you think about the salad?

    Phil: Not bad.

  • I don't think all of us Jangs say that.  She should have asked me because I think her salad is average.  I like the mixed greens instead of the iceberg lettuce, but I don't like the beans.  I'd rather have more egg, nuts, and cheese included.
